Yum sweet cornbread

This is our favorite sweet cornbread recipe so far.

Golden sweet cornbread

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup whole milk
1 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 400F. 

Soak cornmeal in milk for 10-15 minutes. 

Mix dry ingredients. Add egg, oil, and milk/cornmeal. 

Pour into greased 9" round cake pan. Bake 20-25 minutes.
